Helen joined Fahey Schultz Burzych Rhodes in 2010 after receiving her law degree magna cum laude from Thomas M. Cooley Law School. She is now admitted to practice in all Michigan state and federal courts and a member of the State Bar of Michigan and Federal Bar Association.
While in law school, Helen earned 11 Certificates of Merit—the highest honor for academic performance in a course— and graduated second in her class. In 2008, the Thomas M. Cooley Journal of Practical and Clinical Law published a scholarly article Helen wrote as a student. In 2010, Helen served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Thomas L. Ludington, District Court Judge in the Eastern District of Michigan. Also in 2010, Helen was awarded one of the inaugural "book award" scholarships given by the Real Property Law Section of the State Bar of Michigan for excellence in advanced property law courses. Helen’s practice focuses on municipal law, labor and employment law, and general litigation. As part of her municipal practice, she has advocated on behalf of general and charter townships, villages, and cities in a myriad of matters, including zoning matters, ordinance drafting, property disputes, election and voting law matters, and unfair labor practice charges or other labor and employment issues. Helen’s labor and employment law practice focuses on representing management, on behalf of municipal and private sector management.
Helen’s legal writing and advocacy skills, attention to detail, and knowledge all combine for well-rounded, excellent representation of Fahey Schultz Burzych Rhodes clients. Helen and her family reside in Laingsburg, in Victor Township.
